I can't believe how fast everything is happening. Our wedding is almost a month away!!! We're getting all the last-minute details taken care of, and there isn't much left to do. Luckily, we're working on one of my favorite parts right now: the music. No DJ for us. We know what we like and we hope that everyone else enjoys it too. Almost a month away! I still can't believe that.

The wedding is less than 6 weeks away and we're really excited! The invitations have been sent so hopefully you've all received yours by now. Please send your response cards even if we already know that you're coming or not coming.

The menu for the reception has been finalized and we are currently focusing on the music. Jackson has the musicians lined up for the ceremony and we're both working on the playlist for the reception.

As many of you know, we have chosen Ireland as our honeymoon destination and we are very excited about our trip. We've already made our travel arrangements and gotten our passports so we're ready to go. We've both always wanted to visit Ireland and what better time than on our honeymoon? We'll leave Louisville on Monday, October 23, in the evening and will arrive in Dublin Ireland where our rental car will be waiting. We will be driving around the southern portion of Ireland up to the Shannon/Galway area where we'll fly to London, England for a few days before flying home on November 3. Although we're not on a guided tour, we will have contact information in case we have questions or need help while we're there. Our hotel accommodations will be made for us in each of the towns/counties we just have to make sure we get to each destination on the appropriate day and the rest is up to us. Rest assured that we will take lots of pictures and share them all with you when we return.

Our friends, Sonya and Carly, were gracious enough to host a bridal shower for me on August 27. It was held at St. Matthias here in Louisville and the attendees were: Sonya Cotton, Carly Cotton, Lucy Robles, Michelle Bucayu, Tina Merk, Margie Logsdon, Danna Pearsall, Jamie McCollum, Katy Dixon, Sharon McGowan, Deena Pettyjohn, Jean Spence, Allison Kyser, Carrie Wenstrand, Brenda and Jessica Thompson, Judy Heitzman, Mikaela Ostertag, Kelly Wilson, Devon Cooper, Sarah Rasnake, Mary DeLetter, Kathy Hollin, Sherry Mercer, Eileen Schupp, Christine Walsh, Gina and Jillian Nethery, Faith Riser, Shelly Kidwell, Valerie Stamper, Paula Kyser and ME. There were 4 distinct groups of people there: Jackson's family, my family, our bluegrass friends and our "other" friends. We're close to them all, but we never hang out with all of them at once so it was nice to have everyone together. We'll do it again real soon; the wedding is just around the corner.
